Nostalgia, adventure and experience, above comfort and luxury...

Our fire truck served in the fire station in Eibergen from 1979 to 2001, under the name Henk. After this he spent his time with the 1st owner in Eibergen, from whom we were able to purchase the fire truck last year. With only 55 thousand kilometers on the odometer and having spent all that time (over 40 years) indoors, we embarked on the adventure with Henk.
When converting to a camper, the starting point was to keep the exterior as original as possible. As a result, Henk is still in the original fluorescent orange color, even the blue flashing lights, the orange flashing light on the back and, as Christmas on the cake, even the siren still work! (but of course may not be used and will be disconnected when renting). Windows have been made behind the shutters. The roller shutters can also be opened while driving so that those sitting in the back can have a nice look outside.
Anyone who expects comfort and luxury should NOT embark on a trip with Henk. We invite those who want nostalgia, adventure and experience to go out with Henk.
Henk has three seats in the front. You can easily sit with more than five people in the round seat at the back. Henk has plenty of places to sleep. The round seat can be converted into a spacious double bed with a length of 2 meters. A hammock can be attached in the cabin for one child (90x175). The large roof tent from the Autohome brand, with its dimensions of 180 x 220, offers sleeping space for two adults (or three children).
Henk is equipped with a kitchenette with sink, gas stove and refrigerator with freezer compartment. It is also possible to cook outside using an extendable gas stove. Henk is also equipped with a parking heater, which makes it easy to regulate the temperature in the camper.
Henk is equipped with an extremely strong OM314 diesel engine. Because Henk is a vintage car, despite the diesel engine, you are not bound by environmental zones. Henk has no power steering, no cruise control and no air conditioning. Henk likes to complete the journey at 80 km/h.
Henk is equipped with two roof boxes that can accommodate four camping chairs and a camping table, among other things. These roof boxes also offer the option of storing your travel luggage. To be able to sit comfortably near the camper, Henk is also equipped with a large awning.
It is possible, upon consultation, to take our luggage trailer with you. The trailer itself weighs 150kg, so without a trailer license there is plenty of room for luggage and it has room for four bicycles on top.
We are very flexible with pick-up and drop-off times.
Because we are very careful with Henk, we would like to get to know each other first before we come to an agreement.
