Do you want to travel and not miss out? So equipped with all the comforts? A camper where you only have to put your own stuff in? Then you are in the right place with our camper! We do not do things halfway and like that when we are away we can focus on where we are without sacrificing comfort. The reason we have an Alcove camper is that with 4 people everyone can sleep without us having to 'remodel'. So if someone sleeps in, that is also fine.
W bought the camper this spring and have already made 1 long trip of 5 weeks to Portugal. Wonderful camper! Read here why:
Camper:
- As good as new (2022, 40,000 km)
- A-brand Forster construction, the quality can be seen and felt
- Air conditioning in the living room with remote control, lovely cool nights
- Leather upholstery living area, easy to keep clean
- Spacious sleeping areas, read more below
- Large refrigerator and freezer compartment, you can easily take several days' worth of supplies with you
- Spacious kitchen, you can cut vegetables and 2-burner gas burners for easy cooking
- Toilet with shower, if necessary you can take a shower
- Ventilation system and hot water boiler, nice for the winter
- Mosquito nets and blinds at all openings, no mosquitoes inside, but cooling
Fiat Ducato Cabin:
- Automatic, anyone can drive away with it, Marit has made long journeys
- 160 hp, which is more than normal (140), which is nice in the mountains
- Reversing camera, useful because the camper is 740 cm long
- Cruise control, so long distances are no problem
- Audio system, controllable from your phone
- Wonderful driver and front passenger seats, no back pain after 1000 km
- Equipped with Air Conditioning, ABS, ESP etc. etc.
Bed layout:
To give you an idea, Ramon is 195 cm tall, Marit 175 cm and our children are 5 and 7 years old. The beds are very spacious and after five weeks of travelling we were not tired of it yet. ;-)
- A double bed above the cabin (that's where we sleep)
- A double bed in the back (that's where the children sleep, also suitable for adults)
- A double bed in place of the table and benches
Oh yes, our bed has a good topper and the children's has a 'pee sheet'. (also spare) You do need to bring your own blankets and pillows.
Equipment:
As indicated, you rent the camper completely complete with high-quality items. As mentioned, we did not save on that.
- Plates, cutlery and cups, (frying) pans, kettle, cutting board, washing-up bowl, water filter, etc. etc.
- Crespo Garden set, incl. 2 footstools that you can use as seats
- Extra table for storing shoes and placing a hotplate on
- Bicycle carrier for 4 bicycles (2 large, 2 small)
- Induction hob for outdoor use
- Level blocks to adjust the camper to the right height
- Electrical cables incl. all attachments for EU
- Two gas bottles (1 full and the other at least 20%)
- Floor covering and awning incl. sunblocker and peggy set for safe and secure placement
- Toolbox, pegs, elastics and all other practical things you need
- Storage boxes where you can put all your own things
- Hangers and storage compartments in the camper
- Full bottle of toilet fluid, washing line, clothes pegs and the like
- Jerrycan and water hose in case of water refilling
- Safety vests, pull rope, etc. etc.
In the back is an extra large storage, this can even be made bigger by having the bed lifted up. We had space left in all the cupboards and in the back. And we take quite a bit of stuff with us :-)
Storage:
- Large storage space in the rear, the bed can be raised and lowered using an easy system
- Storage boxes in the back, put provisions and other things in there
- Bicycle carrier, you can also rent our 2 electric bicycles (there will also be room for 2 children's bicycles)
Extras:
- Induction hob for outdoor cooking, no extra charge
-Puddle sheets and good topper
Optional:
- 2 electric bicycles can be rented at an additional cost
