Having ALWAYS wanted a motorhome and always having said ONE DAY we will get one, maybe when we retire...it struck me last year having turned 50 and had some horrid life stuff happen, WHY WAIT TO RETIRE?!!!
We want our three beautiful children (12, 13 and 17) to enjoy motorhoming adventures with us, not put it off until they have flown the nest, so we bought our beautiful 6 berth home away from home in December and haven't looked back.
She's everything we could have wished for and more. The sense of freedom we now have, especially in these uncertain times has been priceless. We spent Christmas in Cornwall, half term in Norfolk, setting off for the NC500 in Scotland in May and hopefully touring Europe in July... sometimes we just drive a mile to our local beach, park up to watch the waves whilst enjoying a bacon butty and a cup of tea!
So, whilst we love her, we also want to share her...so let me tell you a little more about her best bits:
6 berth - the brilliantly large U Shaped rear lounge converts to a super king sized bed or 2 singles. The front seated area becomes a double bed and there's a further drop down double bed, all at the press of a button.
5 belted seats - the driver's and passenger seats spin round and are super comfy reclining Captain's chairs meaning there is a spacious 6 person seating area up front AS WELL as a 6 person lounge in the rear...perfect if you want to split adult and kids spaces up!
Kitchen - full sized fridge with separate freezer compartment / Oven and grill with 3 gas ring hob / Microwave / Toaster / Alessi Kettle / Bialetti Coffee maker.
Fully stocked cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils etc.
Bathroom - Cassette toilet which will happily do a long weekend without needing to be emptied. Hot shower at the flick of a switch. Vanity sink area with plenty of cupboard space. Hair dryer both 12v and a plug in for when you're on mains electric.
Energy - Solar Panels on the roof so constant source of free energy / 2 x 11kg LPG Gaslow tanks which can be filled up just like diesel at most large service stations.
GPS - Garmin specific Motorhome Sat Nav - so won't take you down any roads you can't fit!
Cruise Control and Power Assisted Steering
Sockets 12v x 2 plus 220v & USB - Several charging points throughout the motorhome
Control Panel - this can be operated either from the touch pad onboard, or the app which is downloadable on the iPhone, so all lighting, water and heating can be controlled at your fingertips, so you can turn the heating and lights on back at the van before you even get back after a walk.
Free Satellite Television with inbuilt DVD player - the swivel TV that can be directed into the front or the rear of the motorhome - the satellite is accessible from a cupboard so can get signal almost anywhere you are.
WIFI - O2
Privacy - all windows have the option of either black out blinds or mosquito blinds
Awning - this can we opened and comes out giving another 10x10ft of shelter outside the motorhome
Linen and Bedding on request.
Bike rack for 4 bikes or Large Luggage box at rear. Luggage box available for small additional charge
Pick up / Return times can be flexible
