Hi, my name is Rex and I love adventures and meeting new people! While my owners have taken me on some great trips around the UK I'd like to see more so maybe you could take me out?
I’m a 2 Berth Ford Transit Leisuredrive conversion with power steering, remote central locking, drivers airbag and a dashcam installed. I've been told I drive really well. Also because I'm a short wheeled based van I'm quite easy to drive if you're not used to driving big vehicles, I also fit easily into most parking spaces making it easy when stopping off at places, however, I am quite tall which means I feel relatively roomy inside for my size and even tall people can stand up in me without hitting their head on my roof! My owner used to work for a Ford Main Dealer so I am regularly maintained and looked after and touch wood, I've not broken down. I'm also economical to run.
There's two comfortable seats up front with space in between for your pooch and you can get in the main part of the campervan from the cab without having to get out of the van, this is great when you park up and it's raining. I also have a Kenwood sound system with radio/CD/iPod connectivity and DVD player in the cab with speakers in the camper so you can listen to music when camping or have them in the cab. (No watching DVD's while driving though!). If you have very long legs then the drivers seat doesn't adjust too far back so that's one thing to consider...I've had 6ft tall people drive me and they said it was fine but something to bear in mind.
To make your camping trip a bit more civilised I come with a 2 ring Smev gas hob, sink with running water, small microwave which works when plugged into the 240v hook up, a fridge that runs off the leisure battery and can also be plugged into the mains (long cable included) and a TV/DVD player with an aerial so you don’t miss your favourite soaps while you’re away (runs off leisure battery).
I also have an electric warm air heater which works when you have a 240v mains hook up.
There's also a collection of DVD's you can watch. I have a table and seating area with enough room for 4 people and this converts into a bed. The bed measures 5ft 9 x 3ft 7 so if you’re the long-legged variety you may need to sleep with bent legs. But the best bit is, if you're in a really scenic place with warm weather you can fling my doors open and lie in bed looking at the beautiful scenery! I have plenty of lights in the back and two plug points. Fire Blanket and Fire Extinguisher are fitted for your safety.
Plenty of storage space (under rear seats, above the cab, in the cupboard, if not hiring the loo then under the seat and above rear doors. I come with crockery and cutlery, pans, plastic drinking cups, mugs, a chopping board in fact all the essentials you’re going to need when camping. My owners will include two camping chairs and a table for when you’d like to eat/drink outside.
I also have a portaloo (extra cleaning fee applies if you use it and it will need emptying before returning it - most campsites have the facilities) so you won’t get caught short!
We welcome well-behaved dogs (extra £10 cleaning fee per dog) as long as you bring your own blankets/towels to cover the soft furnishings.
Free parking of your car at our address while you're on your travels.
