Welcome to our mini Air b&b on wheels!
This began as a fun DIY project that got a bit out of hand.. Built to take ourselves plus sports equipment around Europe in summer and is now ideal for long weekends and holidays :)
We enjoy the flexibility of not having to book accommodation and being able to stop anywhere on route such as a beach, lake, or a scenic spot found on the ‘park4night’ app. Park up, close the curtains & not need to get out of the van for anything or faff about with a folding bed.
The van has been very reliable and is easy to drive due to its high position, large mirrors, parking sensors and reverse camera.
being the MWB, It just about fits in a large parking space, which is handy when arriving in a new town.
There is a kitchen/ dining area, fully functioning shower-room and a top quality water/ space heater. Also plenty of clothes and food storage for longer trips. The double bed is full length but is 20cm narrower at the foot end (I am comfortable at 6'4")
It can be run 'off grid' for a few days (or indefinitely when sunny) since it has gas powered central heating, a huge 300W lithium leisure battery +300w solar panel and 230v from an inverter, (or can be hooked up to campsite mains power if necessary). There is a large 80L fridge, gas hobs, lights, ceiling fan, Sony sound system and a bedside radio
The van is supplied fully equipped with kitchen equipment so you should only need to bring food & drink.
Safety kit & tools, outdoor table + camp chairs, and the following optional kit is available to use at no extra cost: sun awning, additional water tanks, lockable 3-bike towbar mounted rack (if you have a lot of other kit!), comfy front single bed for a third person (under 6 foot).
Fresh and waste water tanks are underneath the van (for stealthy city showering). The fresh tank will be full on arrival and can be filled up from any tap or container with supplied kit.
Pickup & drop off is evening to evening as standard, as I work Mon-Thurs 8-6, Fri 8-2 unless alternative times are agreed.
700/wk Mileage is pro rata I.e. 4 days would be 400 miles.
Pets are welcome if they are well trained :)
1 week or more bookings; if your dates are not available- please contact as we may be able to rearrange something.
The price includes: Gas for heating/ cooking, Insurance from my full year policy (so no need to book your own day insurance) + breakdown cover + parking for your car on our drive in Worcester; So it would just be diesel, and optional campsites to pay for.
YOU ARE WELCOME TO SKIP PAYING THE GOBOONY EXCESS INSURANCE ~£125/week which is to protect against most day insurance £2000 excess (my excess is the lowest available at £500).
Cleaning of the outside is included, inside cleaning available for £20
Towels and linen available for £20 per booking
£5/ day to add a second driver.
