Goldie is a VW Transporter Kombi van; Goldie was converted to a Campervan by Bespoke Campers one of the few VW approved converters in the UK with certifications in place for all modifications when bought new in 2018. Goldie is a 4 berth campervan, although there is the option to add 2 additional seats (Kombi van) for travel if required.

Goldie is a 6 speed manual and is pretty unique, in that she is a Petrol Campervan that meets the Euro 6 Emissions criteria which makes her much greener to run than most campervans that are diesel powered and is significantly quieter than diesel vans. The Euro 6 compliance means that Goldie can enter any city with low emissions zones without financial penalty and she is economical with petrol on average £0.10 a litre less than diesel at the UK petrol pumps.

Inside, Goldie is fitted with a double gas hob, sink with running water from two 15 litre water containers below the Rock 'n' Roll bed at the rear (we recommend that you do not drink the tanked water unless boiled as it sits in the heat of the van until being used). USB sockets are positioned at the kitchen side beside the storage compartment and on the flexible reading lights above the rear seats / bed; 2 x 230V Power sockets although these can only be used when plugged into electric hook up at campsites, We advise you use the electric hook-up whenever possible to conserve the leisure battery, but if going off grid the battery will need to be recharged regularly. Full instructions can be given before your trip., we supply the electric hook up extension cable for hook-up at campsites. All rear windows are tinted glass and fitted with Black out window curtains to aid a good nights sleep. A gas fired night heater ensures a cosy atmosphere on those cold frosty mornings or damp evenings. She is fitted with a Rock 'n' Roll seat/bed, sleeping two in the rear and a further two sleeping up top in the pop-up roof compartment. If travelling with 5 or 6 persons, the additional tent is required for them to sleep in overnight or they need to book into a hostel or B&B. A chemical toilet can be provided as an additional option.

Up front Goldie has two Captain's seats that swivel round to face the rear and the sliding side door houses a table that will sit between the front and rear seats or outside if you wish.

Goldie comes with crockery and cutlery, cups, glasses, saucepans. The fridge runs on the 12V battery which will keep your food cool overnight without electric hook up for one possibly 2 nights dependant on other electrical items plugged in or if driving for a couple of hours the leisure battery will be replenished. Hooking up to the mains at campsites will allow the use of the 230V Power sockets if you require the use of items such as a hair-drier or laptops or if you are staying in that location for a couple of days where the van is not running.

Goldie will also come with camping chairs for outdoors and a sun canopy which can have sides and a front fitted, if your staying in one location for a few nights, if required.

For your safety, Goldie has undergone a full habitation check and gas safety check and is fitted with a Smoke & CO detector, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, First Aid Kit and Hi-vis vests; the gas cylinder is housed in a ventilated gas safe locker at the rear.

Additional 2 traveller seats with seat belts - £15 per day up to 4 days; >4 days - £70 for duration of hire
Note: Additional Seats -these are genuine VW factory fitted seats with seatbelts supplied with the van when new. When these additional seats are fitted, access to the fridge and lower storage cupboards is not achievable; these will need to be removed prior to gaining access to the fridge or using the Rock 'n' Roll bed to sleep on and stored outside the van undercover. You will need a tent with you for your two additional passengers to sleep in which can be provided as an additional option or book into alternative accommodation e.g. hostel or Bunk house.
Tent - 3 person Pop-up tent and double inflatable mattress - £10 per day
Child booster seats (two available) - £10 each for duration of hire (in the UK backless booster seats are only approved for children weighing more than 22kg or taller than 125cm)if your child weighs less than this, or does not meet the height requirement, you will need to use your own child seats. Note the Rock and roll bed does not have Isofix points and child seat will be secured via seatbelts.
Chemical Toilet supplied with chemicals - £10 per day up to 3 days; 4 Days+ £40 for duration of hire
Bicycle Rack - £5 per day
Hair Dryer - £10 for duration of hire (electric hook-up required)
Towels - £5 each for duration of hire
Clothes Drier (collapsible) £10 for duration of hire

Hirers can leave their own vehicle on our private driveway whilst they are on their adventure!

Goldie is based approximately 8 miles North of Dundee, Scotland, or with prior arrangement can be brought to Dundee for collection and drop off; Dundee / Forfar are perfect locations for access to the Highlands and Islands or anywhere you like within the UK!

Easy transfers from Edinburgh Airport or City Centre via Ember Bus, drop off close to Dundee Campervan pick-up point with prior arrangement.
