Welcome to our charming campervan, Morag McSporran, your ideal way to explore the NC500, Skye, Harris and the Northern Scottish Highlands.
Morag McSporran is designed to feel like a cosy cottage while you explore the most stunning mountains, beaches, and coastlines in the UK. With sleeping space for two, including a super comfy double bed (190cm x 135cm), you'll enjoy a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring. The bed even has space either side for your clothes and drink, without feeling squashed or confined. You can lighten your packing too as all bedding and towels will be ready for you inside, including anything your dog may need such as bowls and bedding.
Equipped with a twin gas hob and sink, electric pumped water, and all your kitchenware needs, you can easily prepare delicious meals on the go. Plus, with solar panels, 2 x leisure batteries, and electric hookup, you'll have all the power you need to keep your devices charged and your appliances running smoothly. She even comes with a portable toilet.
Morag McSporran is designed for adventure and features a spacious garage that is accessed from the rear doors. Inside you will find 2 x comfy camping chairs, camping table, window sun-screens, and wheel chocks for keeping her level when parked, making it easy to get a good night's sleep even on uneven ground. However, along with being able to carry all of your gear and food, the garage is designed to accommodate 2 x full-sized mountainbikes, electric bikes or other large items. The rear and side doors even have deadlocks to make it as secure as possible!
Morag McSporran is not short on storage space inside the living area either. 3 overhead compartments include baskets for all your bits-and-bobs, clothes, and accessories. Whereas the kitchen cupboards provide ample room for food and drink. Beneath the two comfy seats you will also find sizeable compartments for bags, boxes, dog food and bowls.
The plug-in fridge can run off either the solar power charged leisure batteries, or directly from the 240v wall sockets if connected to an electric hook-up on one of the many NC500’s delightful campsites. All power cables are supplied.
When it’s time to treat yourselves to some delicious food, a pull-out dining table provides a convenient and handy dinner experience. That is of course if you cannot eat outside at the fold-out dining table and chairs (or even find the perfect spot for the picnic blanket on the beach). For additional post-dinner lounging, the mattress can be reconfigured to create numerous sofa options, either looking through the front of the van or taking in the idyllic view from the rear doors.
To provide shade from the sun or shelter from the odd spot of rain, the large awning can be extended or retracted in seconds using a simple lightweight handle. This is particularly handy for keeping the side door open no matter the weather. Inside, two sky-lights provide a welcoming amount of natural light and include midge nets to allow pest-free ventilation, along with blinds for a restful night's sleep.
Morag McSporran’s size makes her perfectly suited to the NC500 route. The famous route has some of the most jaw-dropping roads in Scotland. However, some roads are narrow and even single lane, where a standard width van like Morag McSporran consistently provides a stress-free driving experience. Not to mention the ease of navigating and parking in quaint villages like Ullapool. However, easy maneuverability and parking are not at the expense of ample space within the van to relax, cook, and eat.
Overall, Morag McSporran is your best friend as you circumnavigate the north coast of Scotland. She has everything you need to travel, eat, and sleep in comfort. Taking in breathtaking views, and taking away life-long memories of the remotest coastlines on the mainland.
